Following on from the GCSE and A level results (looking better) and the SAT's results for children aged 11 (not so good), we now have some promising signs from younger children at Primary Schools in Suffolk.
According to figures released by the Department of Education at the end of September, children of 5yrs to 7 yrs have shown some clear improvement in attainment levels over 2013. Reading, writing and phonics all saw good increases, and maths was also a little improved.
It is to be hoped that these improvements can continue, and that they will start to feed up the age ranges and time goes by. Meanwhile, in the Cosford Division, Elmsett School recently received a positive OFSTED report, moving up to Good from Requires Improvement.
