Last week I went along to the Quay Theatre to attend the
launch of a series of commercials that are aimed at raising awareness about issues
of abuse between young people.
The short clips were commissioned by Compassion, the Babergh Forum
that supports people who have experienced domestic abuse.
Funding was found from the West Suffolk Community Safety Partnership and
the charity fund of the previous High Sheriff of Suffolk, Andrew Norman Butler.
The videos were created by a group of young people for young
people. Setting aside for a moment the
importance of their underlying message, I was really impressed at the level of
professionalism shown by the group, who created, directed and performed in the short films. Sudbury also made a picturesque background
for some of the clips.
The videos can be viewed on You Tube by following this link.
